One common area of trouble that westerners run into when interacting with Japanese is the different approach Japanese use when having arguments. This video showcases the typical western arguing style, what happens when you try applying it in Japan, and how Japanese would approach the same debate. It may seem silly but you'd be surprised at how much grief getting this stuff wrong can lead to.
